I’ve been thinking for a while that, marvellous as the bus is, the girls should try to get to school under their own steam and get some exercise – even if just once a week.
This morning was completely typical of our attempts to get the children outdoors over this holiday (and any holiday, come to think of it):
Our borough’s successful Mini Holland bid – £30 million from the Mayor to turn an outer London borough into a paradise for cycling (or at least ‘somewhere you can cycle’) – is starting to take effect. What I really mean is that we’ve had another public meeting. Continue reading
